New Delhi, April 4 (SocialNews.XYZ) The French edition of ‘100 Great Indian Poems’, selected and edited by Indian poet-diplomat Abhay K. has been translated and published in French by L’Harmattan, Paris.

Titled “Cent Grands Poems Indiens” in French, the book includes poems from 28 Indian languages ​​spanning over 3,000 years of Indian poetry.


It has also been translated and published in Arabic, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Malagasy.

Upon publication of the book, publisher Abhay K. said, “The French edition will provide insight into the rich heritage of Indian poetry spanning three millennia in the French-speaking world and will act as a literary bridge between India and French speaking countries.

Abhay K. is the author of 10 collections of poetry including “Monsoon”, “The Magic of Madagascar”, “The Alphabets of Latin America” and the editor of “The Book of Bihari Literature”.

He recently translated Kalidasa’s ‘Meghaduta’ and ‘Ritusamhara’ from Sanskrit, which received the KLF Poetry Book of the Year 2021-22 award.
