DOHA: FNAC, Qatar’s leading cultural destination, with the French Embassy in Qatar and the French Institute, signs a remarkable participation in the 29th Doha International Book Fair where it presented a wide variety of French books and a section special for Qatari authors and organized a series of activities such as workshops, book signings, meetings, storytelling sessions and other interactive activities.

This year, the FNAC will welcome notable authors specially invited by Fnac International, France, including Sibylline Desmazières and Jérôme D’Aviau, authors and illustrators of the book “Rat and the ugly animals” who interacted with the students during their workshops. Alexis Nesme, author and illustrator of the book ‘Les Enfants du Capitaine Grant’ also led workshops for school children. During the ten days, the FNAC booth is expected to attract over 600 students from different schools in Doha. Throughout the book fair, Qatari writers and artists will visit the stand throughout the exhibition to present their work. Fnac supports local talents through cultural and educational activations and signing ceremonies. All of these activities inspire and enlighten students about the importance of reading books, which helps them develop their skills.

The Doha International Book Fair is considered to be the largest international book fair in the region with a large participation from different countries around the world. It is a platform for exchange on cultural diversity and a space to inspire dialogue and share knowledge.
