The Alliance Française de Newport (“AFN”) announced this week that it will be expanding its French classes this month for the first time in three years and offering a fourth class to interested members.

AFN’s mission includes learning French language and culture and the expansion of its course offerings continues this mission through 2022: Historically, course offerings included Beginner French, Intermediate French and “The Salon”, an advanced conversation special group. These classes are now joined by Intermediate French+, a class that focuses on understanding, analyzing and discussing examples of French literature. Andrew Snook, president of the Alliance Française of Newport, welcomed the changes. “Steven and Daniel have considerable experience in teaching French and their willingness to teach our expanded program has already been well received by our student members. Expanding our course offerings is key to keeping our students interested and improving their language skills. »
